Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
01 / Acceptance
By creating an account or using MagRose Learn, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookies Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed on your behalf.
02 / Eligibility & age
MagRose Learn is built for youth creators. Users under 13 may only use the service through an account created and supervised by a parent, guardian, or school under verifiable parental consent. Users 13–17 must have a parent or guardian email on file.
03 / Acceptable use
- Be kind. Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, doxxing, and discrimination are prohibited.
- Submit only work you have the right to submit. Respect copyright, trademark, and the privacy of people you film.
- No cheating: no sharing answer keys, automating quizzes, or impersonating others.
- No attempts to compromise the platform, exfiltrate other users' data, or bypass access controls.
04 / Open enrollment & non-discrimination
MagRose Learn is open to all eligible learners. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, military or veteran status, citizenship, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law. We do not engage in redlining or steering of any kind. See our Non-Discrimination Statement.
05 / Your content
You keep ownership of everything you submit (videos, writing, reviews). You grant MagRose a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and feature your submissions within the platform and in MagRose program materials, with credit. You can ask us to remove a specific submission at any time.
06 / AI assistant disclaimer
The in-app AI assistant is provided for educational support and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased information. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical advice. Treat its output as a starting point, not an answer. Your prompts are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate responses; do not include sensitive personal information.
07 / Rewards & XP
XP, badges, and store items have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. We may adjust catalog, pricing, or availability at any time. We may revoke XP earned through abuse, automation, or violation of these Terms.
08 / Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagRose Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.
09 / Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a safety risk to other learners.
10 / Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

12 / Curated third-party content (videos we embed)
MagRose Learn is a free, non-commercial educational program. We do not host, store, distribute, or sell access to third-party videos. Videos shown in lessons are embedded directly from public sources (primarily YouTube) using the platform's official iframe player (youtube-nocookie.com). The underlying work is delivered, displayed, and tracked by the host platform under that creator's account — not ours.
Our use of embedded content is grounded in three independent legal bases, layered:
- Platform-granted embed license. The YouTube Terms of Service grant a license to embed publicly available videos via the standard iframe. We use that player as shipped, unmodified, and never scrape, download, or re-host any video.
- Fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107). Our use is (a) non-commercial and educational, (b) curatorial and transformative through sequencing, framing, and pedagogical context, (c) does not reproduce or substitute the underlying work — the creator's own player does — and (d) generates views and traffic for the rights holder rather than competing with the original market.
- EU / UK alignment. Linking to and embedding content already made publicly available by the rights holder on a platform like YouTube is consistent with the CJEU's Svensson and GS Media decisions on communication to the public.
Creators always retain 100% of their copyright in the underlying work. Disabling embedding on YouTube, or removing the video from YouTube, immediately removes it from MagRose Learn.
13 / Attribution, no resale, no white-labeling
Every embedded video carries an on-page credit and a link to the creator's channel. MagRose Learn does not charge users for access, license curated content to third parties, sell sponsorships against specific creators' content, or strip platform branding from the embedded player. Account features that reward learner progress (XP, badges) have no cash value and are not tied to creator monetization.
14 / DMCA & copyright takedown
We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and equivalent procedures in other jurisdictions. If you are a rights holder (or authorized to act for one) and believe content on MagRose Learn infringes your rights, send a good-faith notice including:
- Your name, title, organization (if any), and contact email.
- Identification of the work claimed to be infringed and the URL of the lesson on MagRose Learn.
- The YouTube URL of the embedded video at issue.
- A good-faith statement that you have the right to make the request.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send notices to office@magrosemedia.com or use the form on our For Creators page. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and act on valid requests promptly — typically within 48 hours by removing or replacing the embed. Knowingly false takedown notices may incur liability under § 512(f).
15 / Children's privacy & COPPA
MagRose Learn is intended for learners 13 and older, or for users under 13 acting through a parent, guardian, or school under verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without that consent. See our Privacy Policy for details on data we collect and how it is used.
